It isn't a par, but it is all the final release of contest planes available. I am just wondering if one of these outstanding sites hosted at fightersquadron.com would want to host it. MH won't be able to unlock the copy I put up before he leaves. I just need another target area.

I have a cable modem. The cable runs from my 56k modem into the plug in the wall , so it would be a fairly quick download chiming in at a balmy 2hrs, 20min. The thing is 17mb. Perhaps a nice person would chunk it up so I don't have to spend 2 more hours ticking off the wife because "I'm not paying enough attention to her."

Why not par?
I'd do it if I was sure I had all the most current contest planes.

Whirlwind, I think that you might want to get in contact with Razor. Read this thread: www.fightersquadron.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001287.html

I sure hope he tests the training missions and checks to make sure all the planes show up before he uploads the Contest Planes. MH had a looksie at the first one I created, and just today said to just zip the un-par'ed planes up. There are certain issues that need resolved prior to the plane pack working, and it isn't with the planes.

Just remember if they don't show up in the training missions, chances are, the mission editor won't find them either.

They ALL show up in the Training Missions Some of the training missions do not show the briefing correctly, but they all work. I tried all of them.

I am really looking forward to flying the SV's D.VIII from a par file. I'll download it and give it a go, but the screwed up (read 3 funky characters) mission briefs are an all too familiar site.

What causes the 3 characters to replace the briefing? I tried everything I could to get it to work, but I couldn't. I did try the missions and they still work fine. Give it a try and tell me what happens.

If you unbig the files the missions will appear normal in SDOE. The funky characters were one of the issues that led to me looking for other things, like only 1 F4U showing up, 2 F2b's, and no D.VIII, plus some other interesting traits.

The reason for two F2B's showing up is because it had two Loadout files. As for the DVIII, I had to put it and a few other planes in a seperate Par file. They will all work in the same Par file.

That would have been too much work for me . Actually it had occured to me, but I was down to getting just the D.VIII to show up and solving the mystery of the 3 characters. The logic for not releasing a pak with the three character bug is that people might think it is the plane creator's fault when it isn't. I didn't want to slant the voting results due to a problem beyond the plane creator's control. Literally.

I hope you at least mentioned that the 3 letter bug is mysterious and not the plane creator's fault.

Oh yeah, the two loadouts would make sense, and it also might indicate that SDOE only looks for the word 'loadout' in par files for plane configurations.
