What a frigg'n zoo it was online tonight. mismatches everywhere - I checked one page and it listed 5.3 as the online standard.

The online standard needs to be posted in a little box somewhere (with a one word link to the current download) so people can check easily. I dont read every post on the forum these days - and I doubt a lot of other people do either. Lets make this easy people - please?!?

I mentioned this earlier in the week. Either 5.3 and 5.3a need to be combined or the instructions as to what the online standard are need to be more clearly defined.

Can 5.3 and 5.3a be combined and just call it 5.4

I totally agree that the Online standard needs to be posted in one location and updated as needed. Then everyone else that wants to post it just links to it.

This should also be more visable on the Welcome screen. New people to SDOE should not have to accidently find it. They should trip over it. Put it right in front of them where they can't miss it.

Playing SDOE with patch 1.5 and 5.3a is one thing but playing right out of the box is another. The sooner a person updates to 1.5 / 5.3a the more likely they will stay with SDOE.

I would be glad to help where I can.

I had four different crashes in a row last night, with no success. One of the crashes totally locked up my computer, and another happened when I created a game and was the only one in it. Another happened just trying to join a room. I never had a 'mismatch' warning come up on the screen.

Do you think these problems could be plane-pack related, or are they probably something else?

Disappointedly,
Lothar

The lobby crashes have always been there but will get fixed "any day now" by a patch.

Regardless,
It was good to have the BAB out in strength once again.
The issue does need to be solved.
Frustration resulted in some people just giving up and leaving.

I really think that something should be done about this problem. It does lead to fatigue
and disinterst, and the result is people leaving early.
I realize that this sim is getting more comp-
licated and we will get streched at times.
But if we could set up a "tripping mechanism"
so that others know what it is that they need
before they try to join there will be a lot
less frustration in the game set-up.
If I knew how to do this I would...
Thanks.

If you have Spyder's SDOE control it has a link to the online standard download page.
