Is there a way to hide the prop when in the cockpit view? I have an video card that only has 8 megs of memory and the prop appears blocky and is hard to see through from inside the cockpit. I would just as soon hide it and not have to look through it until I can get a video card with more texture memory.

Generally it is not possible with an single key or something like that. But if it really hurts you much, this is the only way I know:

Open the texture for the fast-prop-objects for all the planes and make the alpha layer completely white (=transparent). Now you wont see the propblades anymore. Thats much work ! You had to "unbig" several data.par files and search for textures and maybe find out how to change the alpha layer. Unfortunatly I dont got the time to do this for you. But maybe there is a good-hearded "tech-man" who will give you the "no-props" add-on.

Sorry - I know that didnīt helps you much ! But thats the only way I know.

P51 used to have a NOPROP.TIF file, but that stopped working with PP5.3

you could do one of two things (if you're the one making the plane)

1) make the prop single-sided so that it's only visible from the front.

or

2) give it another model so that at close range (IE, in the cockpit) it switched to a model that uses more transparency.
