I saw a post not to long ago about getting AC3D for $50.
Havn't been able to find it for that price.
Any suggestions?
I guess my second question is that I have
ACAD14. Does AC3D do the same thing? Is it just an easier format?

The two programs have very different intentions. AC3D is a non-dimensional 3dImage builder whereas AutoCAD 14 is a dimensionally focused Engineering tool.


To use the exisiting addons that let you work on SDOE 3D models you need either AC3D or 3DMAX. Nice work is coming from both programs.

I personally use AC3D and have not seen MAX. If you go to SV's OpenPlane site you'll find links to all the needed tools and excellent DOCs on how to use them to edit or build your own aircraft for SDOE. Here's the link....
