I have a microsoft force feedback joystick and either it sucks or the controller interface for this game sucks. I have tried everything to keep my plane steady while trying to target an enemy and all it wants to do is jiggle up and down. It does work better if you don't zome in close . Up close there is no way to hold it steady. This is with it enabled or disabled .I have also downloaded the 1.3 control panel and it works the same way. I have slid the bars every which way but to no avail.I also borrowed a logitec wingman extreame digital and it does work better but still have the same bad up and down motion when trying to target the enemy. Is there a great joystick for this game. Both of these joysticks work great with all my other games. Someone please help. Thanks

CTFJ can be used to reduce the sensitivity of your stick or scale the inputs to get the feel you want.

Microsoft joysticks and this game are a bad combo, from what I've read.

Zooming in will increase the percieved effect of problem as you've found out.

Well, make sure the aircraft is trimmed properly (four directional arrow keys,if you don't have trim wheels on your stick)This can have a huge impact on steadying the vector.

Make sure them sensitivity bars are slid all the way to the left

And,if your like flight sims and you've got a few bucks to invest.........

CH Products

Combat Stick $58
Pro Throttle $109
Rudder Pedals $52

I found a place searching online a few months ago for a friend, who sold CH Products at these prices, can't find the URL bookmarded thou

I've had this same CH Set-up for over 7 years and put it thru Millions of Cycles, and it looks and works like I just pulled them out of the box.

Ya get what pay for sometimes.....

Good Luck

I see people reccomending the purchase of new "better" flight sticks all the time and I would like to say for the Record that the Microsoft Force Feedback works awesome in every game I have used it with except for SDOE so I would have to come to the conclusion that it isn't the stick but the game.

Well, I for one find simple is better with joysticks. I've been using a CH Flitick pro for what seems near a decade now. It has never failed me, never configured badly, and works great in everything from SWOTL to SDOE, Quake and beyond.

Hey, Rattler, you should do a Visa commercial:

Combat Stick $58
Pro Throttle $109
Rudder Pedals $52
Shooting your buddy down over the channel - PRICELESS
