It's been a long time since I last played SDOE. I do not even have it installed in my HD, but I will when MH released the long awaited patch (final)...Now, I have been busy using another flightsim, a very different one: x-Plane. I really enjoy x-plane, and since it offers a nice aircraft maker I will try to build my own airplanes.
One of these days I downloaded a p51d, and noticed it almost didn't suffer from slipstream effects on takeoff. This was weird, so I went into it's fm definition parameters and found out that the author had canted the engine -1.0 degrees to release the tail from excessive propwash.
Question is...Is this realistic? Does anyone know if the real thing used a canted prop?
