Now we wish to thank all who have made this possible. The entire WWI group. You guys proved invaluable. Bryan Russel for giving us OPS. Parsoft/Inertia. And finally all who helped during the beta testing. Especially Tailslide who put up with long nights of CTD's. Thanks ALL!

A fine job you guys on a fine little airplane
that not only is pleasing to the eye but also fun to fly. I keep it in the garage and think
I'm just going to use it to back and forth to the store.
And never in the rain. Thanks for this pleasant addition to FS...

Bit of FS trivia here...

Did you know that the original pilot in FS had moving joints all around? I remember seeing developement pictures of the pilot being blown all over the place in the cockpit of the B17. He was hanging out the window all contorted! Hehe!

Raider and Zoycite: Cool! Nice job. I'm doing the work at home thing today so haven't been able to fly it much. The animation on Dirk to too cool! I had the waving arm on my todo list also! haha! However, it really got to me as I was watching Dirk crashing as his head is turning to look around!!! Cool and SPOOKY!! haha!

Great job on your model!

Thanks guys. We will later use the arm movement to reach over the side of the plane to drop bombs by hand. (actually we already have a model that does this.)

You can thank Pete Hawk for the idea of the tracking head.

We have a few other new features in there too. Hope you find them all.

TOO COOL
This plane is beautiful and a joy to fly.
Animated pilots, hmm... do we get a waving scarf with the Camel?
That one can be done the same way Pete did the waving flag on the Zepplin.
A DOF can be made to start automatically too!
Back to the original subject, I love this plane!

Hi Jeeves, Add the following line to your "Keyboard.inp" file.

cmdBomb = D

This will make the pilot raise his arm. This will later be used to make the pilot reach over the side of the plane to drop bombs by hand. One at a time. (Actually we already have this modeled and will release it later)

Adding this line will not interfer with the current command to open the Bomb Bay Doors. They use a different prefix.

Jeeves, I just checked the head tracking. If your pilot is not head tracking it is waiting for you to control it. Since it has the properties of a turret you can use this fix.

Press the key to switch to the next crew position. Press it again. This will activate the AI Head. Now press the key to take control back from the pilot.

Hope you understood that.

If you switch crew position to the head view. It is very cool to let the pilot body fly and look around. The view is limited to the movement of the Head. I hope someday that this is somehow used to limit the padlock view.

Thanks Pete, it was a great idea you had. I gave you credit for it in the credits at my site. You deserve it.

You guys kick ass! This has become one of my favorite planes. And the coolest thing is that this is one of the very few releases to have had anytime spent on flight model. Also one of the most complete releases that I have tested so far.
