Hi,

may you consider to add a download section to www.fightersquadron.com. It is always a pain to remember the right site, where you got for example PP5.3 or the patch 5.3a. It should really be at one place, especially it is hard for newbies to find the right place. It isnt a problem for us oldies. I am always getting new stuff immediatly after it is released. But after a couple of weeks I forget, were I dl'ed it. For example last week I tried to explain a New Pilot, where to get the online standard stuff. It took me 30mins to find it. Just imagine how hard it is for someone who is new.

I'll say it again,

You can find the links and info here:
www.fightersquadron.com/warpaint/standard.htm

Hmm, I'd better copy the above for easy pasting, I seem to be typing it alot lately

That's useful Zoy, but we really need a simple url to remember - I can never remember a url like that off the top of my head. I have to go searching my favourites list to fine the appropriate link.

Two suggestions...

1. We have a link on the front of the www.fightersquadron.com page that says "Online Standards"

2. I register a cheap web forwarding address like www.onlinestandard.co.uk (or whatever) for £9.95 and point it at your download page.

Jetlag,

Actually there is a link on the FS.Com main server, but despite my request to have it updated, it still points to the PP 5.2.

Just so you guys know the link is: http://www.fightersquadron.com/standard.html

Thats a little easier to remember

Jet, that's exactly what I wanted to say. It is not a problem for people who read the board all the time. We have all the stuff we need. But for a newbie it is a pain to find all the stuff. Do you think he knows the hangar ? Nope. If he is lucky enough, he finds www.fightersquadron.com So we need one site everyone can find to dl the stuff. May be there are some guys hanging around at 1.0 servers just frustrated not to find anyone. Who of us knows that ? So lets make thing for newbies as easy as possible.

Btw. I have a small perl script to check, if you would get mismatches online. But it is still not able to handle additional files in aircraft folders. For that I would need a central reference list for the right intallation.
