Please read my post Demon Edit Update regarding a computer science project called Demon Edit. As in Screaming Demon.

This project involves the creation of an interactive editor for OpenPlane. The editor will permit the user to create all aspects of an aircraft, including its 3D shape, performance characteristics, weapon and equipment assignment.

Perhaps if more people show an interest in having a student work on this project, maybe someone will.
It might be more meaningful to a student that a lot of people could use this project, as opposed to just doing a project for a grade.

I'd like a program like this, wouldn't you?

Mate, if a student picked this up and 'protected' his work he'd make a mint. I for one would pay for his/her work .... of course I'd want a Demo first though.
