I think most advances will be in other fields than graphics.For graphics, however, we'll of course see fractal terrain generation as the norm, likewise fractals will be used to calculate bumps and other damage shapes.
Most advances, however, will be in the physics modeling.
There won't be any need to defined airfoils, instead the actual lift/drag, whatver, will be computer directly from the shape of an object, the airspeed, air density, humidity, temperature, whatever.
Weather will be a major improvement (and no, I don't mean sunshine here.)
Modeling a plane will more or less be the same as building one for real. You define how the engine is built, what parts it consists of, their material, etc, and the outcome is computed. The same, of course, goes for the hydraulic and mechanic controls.
