I love the new Corsair but I have noticed that the rockets do not fire - they drop like bombs when you hit Enter. Am I missing something? Has the "fire rockets" key changed or is this a bug in the loading?

Flack

I know I have not posted here for a while as I've been off fighting the war in Jane's F/A-18 but i have been reading the site a lot and watching all the new goodies.

As for the rockets - what's to aim, they used to shoot off ahead of you now they drop off the aircraft like a bomb even on the P-38.
I select 4 and then 8 for single mode and then aim at the target using the pipper site and then hit enter and they do not fire but just drop off the stations although the tails look like rocket thrust. Is something wrong on my side?

You need to arm them before you hit enter or they will just jettison as duds.

Speedbrake,
No doubt you're aiming them, but you need to arm them too!

The key sequences:
"4 a " for all to fire;

"4 a 8 " will work great for singles;

or

"4 a 7 " to send the rest at once. 7 puts it back in rapid fire mode.

DOH! I knew I was rusty being away from this sim for several weeks but duh! I didn't know that I have grown STUPID too! Thanks guys - the light turned on finally. Mind you the bulb is dim but there was enough light to see where I messed up! I should go back on-line right now as I would be an easy target for anyone!

If I were smart, I would just kill this thread and pretend I never asked the question. Jeesh, is there any hope???
