I searched the internet to see if there were clear weights anywhere for fuel and oil used in aircraft (see the 'Biography' section). So far, I have come up with 7.5lbs for oil and 6lbs for fuel (US). Does anyone have any better numbers, or should I cruise with these?

It depends on the type of oil and fuel..... I think they used 100/130 octain back then.... so I'll look up the weight for this type (my textbook is MIA right now, so Give me a day or 2 to find it), but I'm not sure what kinda oil they used. But I'll see what I can come up with.

Thanks, silas. Checking as we speak. Oddly, I have the detailed weights for the SM.79, but they (Jane's) elected to mix the oil and fuel, usually only done for chainsaws...

Well lookie there, 7.2Imp Gal = 6 US Gal for fuel and 9 Imp Gal = 7.5 US Gal... imagine that . Now if I could get the Beu's to stop torpedoing things while their buds are flying 50ft off the target's mast... oooo that looked painful...
