Been talkin about this in Tech Talk, this is the kinda thing we would like to see.. this is a quick "heavy damage" skin I just knocked out, would be easy enough to have a moderate damage skin aswell. SV has got damage skins on his SAE5, would love to see this built into all up and comming a/c's

Spanky here..

Thats looking cool but i want somthing with more holes and a little less dirt. It would be cool to have a texture switch in on parts after they have been burned or after they have been shot.

Whats the white lines across the wings and fuse supposed to be?

fully agree, I literally just knocked that one out without spending too much time on it, just to try and build enthusiasm for the idea

Dont forget about the limitations as far as textures go. You get too many textures that need to be loaded up in memory and you start to see blocky flak and clouds.

Im all for something like this but I dont think theres a good way to implement it. We could make two textures per plane, some people may have probs. With 3 per plane, I would think most people would have some sory of problem.

What would be nice is to have some stock bullet hole skins that get attached to any point on an aircraft that gets hit, but we obviously cant do that until the S.O.S. project begins.

Spanky here..

The fokker triplane already does it. But yes we have to watch the poly count.

A bullet hole pick that gets pasted on when hit would rock. Cause would could probly get it pretty close.
