I'm trying to set up a convenient way to create accurate time based missions.

I need to know the dates for introduction of the current SDOE planes (as well as dates of last service).

I need all of them

190a4,190a8, 190d9
bf109e,f,g,k,
b17,
lanc
mossie
p51
p38
spit 1a, v, ix
typhoon
a36a

etc
and any I missed.

This is a very rough doc that I've been playing with for some time. When I've found any info on a plane I've added it to the list. I've tried to find the 'first combat/ first mission' date instead of service entry as it can be rather long time spans between them.

Spanky here...

K this includes planes that are comming out too.

Yak3 entered with 91st air regiment of the vvs, july 16 1944

p51(not sure if they mean D or a later version) last mission carried out of the conflict was on august 14,1945 and went on to the korean war

entered service. P38g early months of 1943 (if we ever make one) P38H was the next month. P38J august 1943. P38L in 1944.

The lightnings were withdrawn from service in 1946 and declared surplus 3 year later.

Me 262 autumn of 1944 entered to i guess the very end.

bf109 K-0 entered september 1944 the K-2 and K-4 entered during the first few days of 1945. K6s entered in jan 1945. K-14 entered during the last 2 weeks of the war and very few saw any service.

Spit mkIs went into sevice slowly starting june 1938.

I16/6 was the first version used operationally in combat on November 5, 1936 in spain. they were used in front line service until the summer of 1943.

F4U-1s fist starting sevice aboard carriers april 1944. It first started with marines and then land based units of the US navy. Earlier then the first carrier service. But the book doesn't say when

FW190d(9s?) started service with units of III/JG 54 in september 1944.

Ki-61 reached units in fev 1943 and made its operative devut in may.

p51b started serving november 1943 and carried out their first mission on december 1st.

P47D started service in 1943 (hows that for acurate) ended service in december 1945.

SBD1s and 2s started service at the end of 1940.these were replaced by the SBD-3s in march of the following year.not sure when the SBD-5 appeared but it seems to be around mid to late 1942. They were removed from front line service at the end of 1944.

typhoon mk IB started service May 3,1941.

The Bf109Gs started service in late summer of 1942.

The Ju88A-1 started service in august 1939. the JU88G-1 appeared in the spring of 1944.

F4Fs went into service first with britain with units of the fleet air arm in the fall of 1940. A year later with the Americans at pearl harbor.

Hope that helps get ya started man.

Thanks aui and spanky for the speedy response.

It's amazing how many planes we have that didn't play until the end of the war.

Busy making notes now.

Corsair dates...

F4U-1 ("birdcage"): Feb 43
F4U-1A (bubble canopy, water injection): Nov 43
Corsair Mk II (Royal Navy F4U-1A): Apr 44
F4U-1D ("bulged" bubble canopy): Feb 45
F4U-4 (upgraded engine, some w/20mm cannon): Jun 45

And yes, you might need to make missions for all those versions...
