recently when playing online and off occasionally, the game locks up completely sometimes with graphic corruption too. recently installed pacific map...could this be reason?....my p3 450 is at 504mhz and v3 2000 at 166 with cooling. Any ideas chaps?

Does it kick you completely out of the game,back to the desktop into a default graphics mode......640 by 480 16bit color? Rattler IP: Logged |

No it does not dump me to desktop the game just completely locks up and I have to hit the reset button to reboot.IP: Logged |

well, I was gonna say the Voodoo, but I have exactly the same card running at 173mhz (faster and it lockups up on booting) To cool this I use a fan taken from an old power pack, and installed to blow over the face of the card and cooling block. I still think it's worth you checkin this though, maybe the cooling isn't quiet enough, as I'm sure you've noticed that steel wosit at the top of the card gets real hot too. It's the only thing I can think of that might be causing it, cause I'm sure your cpu isn't o/c'd to far at all.------------------

the voodoo3 200 is cooled with a twin fan setup from 3dfxcool so I'm sure its cool enough. Could it be the pacific theatre pack I installed?

Spanky here.. Uninstall and Delete the game. Then reinstall and just put in 1.5 patch, 5.3PP and 5.3A PP patch. Then see what happens. That should help narrow it down. Since that combo work for everyone, if it still does it then it sounds like a hardware problem.
