Now that there are so many OpenPlane vets around(I'm not one of them, I'm afraid)I wondered if someone could quickly(?)knock up the extra polys to add a Vokes tropical air filter to the Spit MkV. This "Tropical Spit" would then be a more accurate basis for the various North African paint schemes, as well as a number of Aussie ones.Incidentally, would this effect the it's handling due to the change in aircraft profile? changing/adding models to a plane doesn't in itself affect aircraft handling, with the possible exception of CoM, depending on how you have the relDensity etc. set up. The way to change it would be to either add a new airfoil, or modify existing ones, as well as by changing mass distribution. For instance, if the mod would add drag to the fuselage, you could modify the cylindrical airfoil by increasing its airArea.charm IP: Logged |

I have some notes on the performance differences between the tropicalized spits and the normal ones if anyone wants em. TS ------------------ ________________________ TS Aircombat

I think a perfect mate to this would be the Trop modifications to the 109's. Mirthain=FC=IP: Logged |

I think the best way to attach the tropical airfilters is using the same method I used for the Ju 88C-6's different Radar-antennae, this way there don't have to be two different aircraft. Take a look at the C-6 in the download-section.IP: Logged |

Spanky here... I think trop varients of some of the planes would be great. Royohboy I don't think that would work as well as seperate planes and i think the trop versions were different in performance too not just looks. IP: Logged |
