I notice in the Keyboard.imp that the shift Z should start recording video of the action, rather than taking screens shots, thing is, it never seems to work, can anyone tell me if it does or not, and if so, where it's stored and what format etc. so I can try to find it.------------------ JV~44 "Naturlich" If you can't beat em.... out run em! http://members.xoom.com/naturlich/

It should just be taking successive screenshots, like a slide show. They should be in the same place as normal screen shots.IP: Logged |

When enabled shift z takes a series of bitmaps. It's not one you want to use because it wacks your fps pretty hard. You end up with a series of bitmap images in your fightersquadron directory. IP: Logged |

Spanky here... I think it is just supposed to take a section of screen shots in quick succession. Not a vid but still kinda cool.

Woah! check this out:wouldn't it be cool if instead of taking screen shots in a game, you could take video captures?! I think that would rock!!! MH, is possible for FS? ------------------ Cheers! Jaguar The FS Hangar IP: Logged |

By defautlt movie capture is disabled (remove the semi-colon in front of the command in the .inp file to enable it). This will cause regular screen captures to be made, with ever increasing numbers in the filenames. Make sure you do this at a fairly low resolution in order to keep the speed up. All the videos that I put out a year ago were made using this feature. I then used Smacker (www.radgametools.com) to create a movie. These days I'd probably use Bink. IP: Logged |

I used to have a prog where you could make mpegs or avis frame by frame, but I forget what it was. Think it was something free, from MS. GIF animator works, but you'll have to size the images down considerably. I think MH is right on with Smacker or ?Bink.P.S. I accidentally smacked ALT-Z somehow during a mission, kept wondering how come my frame rate was so low =Þ I ended up with over a gig of consecutive screenshots in my FS dir Good thing I was in 800X600 cause each one is just under a meg. In 1024X768 I think they are about one and a half megs each. Oh yeah, and thanks to IrfanView, I was able to watch them as a quick slideshow rather than opening them up one at a time... don't think I would have gone to the trouble. I just deleted 'em anyhow. -=TheReaper=- [This message has been edited by ReaperMan (edited 03-10-2000).] IP: Logged |

I know that Fighter Ace has a video recorder that works great. I use it when I fly on line and then later use it off line to make the screen shots that I want to post. Speaking of screen shots, if any one has any screen shots that they would like to share and have on my web site, please check out http://www.photoloft.com/album.asp?s=brav&u=187619&a=205418&i=1086020 where you can upload them to my site. All would be greatly apprecaited.
