LOLh.a.p.p.y, I'm h.a.p.p.y, I know I am, I'm sure I am, I'm h.a.p.p.y

was on an AMD K6-2 350 before, and I've just benchmarked the 500 using SiSoft Sandra (I'm sure you've heard of it) running the CPU Benchmark and Multimedia benchmark, and it worked out that it's a lil faster (cpu) than a PIII 500, but a lil slower on the FPU, and is identical to a K6-3 500 in both, so I'm pretty happy with it. I got the CPU and a new Cooler for £51.. all things considered I reckon thats pretty good IP: Logged |

If these chips are made in Asia why are they so much more expensive outside the US?P.S. Its not my fault lol IP: Logged |

They're not made in Asia (the CPU's). They are made in the US although AMD is opening a Fab plant in Germany to make the next generation Athlon. A lot of the memory chips are made in Asia though.IP: Logged |

well, lets put it this way... here the PIII 500 costs £158 right now... and the K62 500 is as fast as that is, but only cost me £51 IP: Logged |
