Hiya Sturm,

I've been able to start 5 aircraft (all the same type and Squadron)in line astern,on the carrier deck.

However,with the NEW Corsair,I've encountered problems with the Mission Editor and saving missions properly (it radomly deletes or stacks CV's on top of eachother)thou I believe I could edit the file in notepad to fix.

As for Wings Folded, Jedi(Creator of the Corsair)stated a Carrier Varient would have to be made. This plane would always start out
wings folded,hence in airstart missions it would have problems

Starting aircraft on the CV deck is great for
Online play,but in offline play the AI can have big troubles.

Once semi open source is started a mission specifier for the state of an aircraft on mission start would be nice. specify a number for the state of an aircraft, then within the aircraft's code specify where a dof is depending on the state its given.

Rattler-

Have you been successful in placing planes on the newly retextured carriers- or the old versions. With the new Akagi and Saratoga- my planes always start out above the carriers- not on their decks. I have successfully placed planes on the carriers before- so I know how to do it...but if you have been successful with the new ones, I'd love to know how. Thanks!!

Jeeves,
PP 5.3a, default Carriers = YES

Zoom all the way in and place squadron and carrier in exact same coordinants.

Waypoints for Squadron is as follows:

Auto
Enroute
Alt= 0
Speed= 0
Hdg = 180 or 0

Almost forgot, in squadron properties make sure the alignment of Aircraft is line astern.

Good Luck

Thanks-- I'll give it a go!! I had done the zoom in and the alt and speed...but may have been off on my heading and squad alignment... we'll see. Have you got it working on the Akagi AND the Saratoga?

OK Rattler-

I did what you said and tried to place planes on the New Akagi and the Saratoga2 carriers (Zeros on the Akagi and the Dauntless on Saratoga)- and still they start off in the air Now by default carriers- do you mean the ones that are about 6 months or so old or the newly retextured ones? If so- can you send me that mission so I can see what the hell I'm doing wrong? The old carriers work fine- the planes start out right where I put them...but the new ones- nothing !!
