Shouldn't the Spit and stuff have rear view mirrors?

Yes, but the engine doesnt currently support reflections... the 'reflections' you see on some cockpit glass are just creative use of textures and not really reflections.

Hum, sorry, but aren't mirror generally created by defining another "viewport" (or graphic window) in the main window? It has nothing to do with real reflection.

The problem remains FPS though.

The RC sim has the rendering features to allow "mirrors".

Normally that would work stef.. but here, we don't use "Viewports". It would have to actually be a reflection.... unless we could define such a thing in Opp... but I don't think that is possible. See, the envinroment, the way I understand it, is that all views are basically just camera views that can be accessed. Kind of like the way many games do the replay of gun camera film. You just switch to a different camera when you switch views.. or in the case of the pilot view, you either pan it, or snap to a certain position, I.E. 90deg, 180 deg, 270 deg... etc. Since our cockpits are actually rendered in the whole envinroment, we don't use viewports like MS flight sim or other flight sims do.
