Is anyone else having this problem besides me?

When I am in the greenhouse (cockpit) of the Lanc I am alway viewing the back of the pilots seat. The only way I can see through it is to zoom right in to the max. When I do this I can't see the whole sky infront of me plus I can never see my map.

I have tried re-centring the view, etc and nothing seems to work. Anyone have any ideas?

Yah, I had the same problem last night. Bloody aggravating too.. although I'm sure it wouldn't be a hard thing to fix.
Another problem that is often seen with the bombers is the missing engine syndrome. As I recall, this was fixed in a previous plane pack, however for some reason the problem is back. It looks quite silly to be flying about in my lanc/B-17 with engines completly missing. I mean, I have no problem with the engine dying, but falling completly off?!? Once in an offline mission I managed to loose all my engines - the B-17 looked like a giant glider... anyways I hope whomever fixed this before would be able to do it again. I myself have tried to fiddle with OP, and I have no ideas how some of you cope - to you guys my hat goes off.

Can some others try jumping into a lanc to see if you have this problem. I have one person emailed me saying they do not have this problem.

So we have 2 that do and 1 that doesn't.

Mine's fine too.
Did you adjust the cockpit zoom too much by any chance?

When it happened to me the other night, I played the first 2/3rds of the mission fine, but then suddenly the problem occured... I don't really remember what I did to trigger it though. I think I was cycling through targets with the padlock, then went back to forward view, and I was staring at the back of the pilots neck....however, like I said ..this may not have triggered it...

I tried re-centring the view no luck in fixing it. I tried deleting the SDOE cache file and still the same problem.

The first time I jumping into the Lanc after Spin sent me the lanc.sm on Friday the problem was there.

I can't get my extra base object obViewPt's to work, so I don't have any. If you have editted the pilot's center point in anyway, then you can expect the viewpoint to be all scwooded up.

Just export it into AC3D... but if it hasn't been touched, then the problem will become much more interesting....

I have figured it out. There is something in data12.par which is screwing up the cockpit view of the lanc for me.

Funny thing, when I go into Training with the new lanc I see three Lanc Mk II's to choose from anyone else have this problem?

In the pilots postion I have no problems but in the new front turret the guns move but the frame and glass stay stationary, from the F2 outside view the frame and glass move with the guns.

On my lanc cockpit view it turns out it is the pilotSit.sm that is causing the problem. What does this file do? If I change or remove it on my pc will it cause online compatibility problems?

You could replace the pilot with a billboard of Mr. Rogers and it shouldn't affect online play. The problem could be that throug the course of tweaking the planes in the PP, someone moved him. When you save something in OPS 1.2, it saves ***everything***, even the stuff it can't find. Everything except texturs.

Thanks Whirlwind!

Had a great time online with my Lanc, now that the problem is fixed.
