ok, first a lil background info for you... I'm 31, living near Manchester UK, I moved back here from Germany 2 years back after working there (as a civi) for a few years, I'm currently unemployed, been that way since comming back to England, I have a fiancee in Detroit, obviously trying to sort out all the legal crap to move there, but it's a slow process. Being unemployed the PC is and really always has been my hobby.Thing is.. as you expect, it's hard to keep up to date with the PC now, and buying new games comes few and far between, what I'm saying is since I bought SDOE last year, it's been shelved twice, till I found this comunity we have here... you know what it's like, play the game, finish it cause it's now boring... and sit wondering if you can afford a new game.. well, I can't really. The number of times I've just felt so down and depressed are to many to number, the PC has always been my "escape", while I'm at it I can switch off and relax. I'm saying Thanks, a real heart felt thanks to everyone that does anything at all to add to SDOE, it's the one game now that will never be shelved, I almost did last week with all the trouble I'm having flying online recently.. but then Jedi comes out with the Corsair... and it's like the game is shiny and new again!! I love flying it, it's a Babe, Baby faced assasin... love flying it, and have spent many hours just working on skins for it. No matter how down I feel sometimes, you guys come out with something new and different for the game, and it picks me up like a shot to go and fly it, mess with the skins etc, and kinda pumps a lil life back into me. You guys just couldn't really know what it means for me that you do all this, buy a new sim/game? I think not, I have a new one right here, it's called Fighter Squadron - Screamin Demons Over Europe I need no other, atleast once a week it seems to be made over new again for me. Awesome Nat ,I feel the same way bro,this game can give aya headaches but they all do in 1 way or another.At least we can watch this game get better and evolve and get new planes and missions and really a hell of a good bunch of guys.You all can blush now  Hawker=225th= IP: Logged |

The community is a great one. I had been unable to fly for about 5 months while my PC was down. But just dropping inn everyday was great entertainment. Now that I have the stuff to get online again, I can't wait to try out all the new planes. It will be like getting a whole new sim.Nat- good luck on the immigration to the US to be with your fiancee. I hope that it moves quickly for you. I'm glad you have a feeling of community here. I've enjoyed your posts, and I look forward to putting some of your skins on my hard drive. IP: Logged |

LOL Snick... I have to say though, what I've really missed this past week with not really being able to fly is having you guys ram me out of the sky cause you can't shoot me down!! LOL btw, tell Elf I'm thinking of him.. LMAO Thanks Goth, it's not a quick and easy process, but we're workin through it, and I'm glad you like some of the skins too, keeps me busy and head thinking IP: Logged |

Ramming = elf, eh? Let's just say I like to "reach out and touch someone" (from an old telephone co. commercial)  I'm modifying my technique, Nat --- I'm practicing closing in from behind, but offset to one side to get a head-shot Hope everything works out OK, Nat ... hurry up back into the air! ---

Nat, I understand your feelings about the SDOE community. It has become my way of relaxing and being 'out with the guys' (no offense to any possible gals out there!) I can honestly say I have never stuck with one game for as long as I have SDOE. The only reason I have is because of my squad (thanks FC!) and the guys here. Nat Thanks for letting me shoot you down that one day we had the scramble furball. Don't think I have managed it since! ------------------

Yes Mad.. you are one of the lucky few to get past my tactic of stalling the plane in mid air.. lol well, it's supposed to make the guy on your 6 over shoot, to give me a crack at him... shame.. most just run into me instead.. LOLHope to be back soon anyway, I'll probably give it another try tonight now that I've treid completely re installing my voodoo.. mayber that'll do it Oh and Mad, I fully agree with you..
