Spanky here...

Looking great. I was wondering. whats the frame rates like? Since this is based on the same engine as SDOE or a modified one. Is the frame rate any better or any worse?

I would figure you can throw in more stuff since you don't need 16 planes in the air at once.

Please don't tell me that everyone will be running faster computers by then so it won't be a problem.

We'll all have faster computers this summer, so frame rate won't be a problem

That one was just for you spanky

Our minimum machine spec is a P200 with 3D video and in general the detail and frame rates are indeed much higher since the world is smaller.

This is a modified version of the FS engine. I've got a couple of graphic engine optimizations in the pipeline which should make the frame rates go up even more.

It'll be out this summer.

And yes, the clock does tell the correct time

Spanky here..

K thanks for the responce

I really do hope for a better computer By this summer but i don't know if it will happen.

What would you say your recommended is for us people that like to have everything cranked.

My recommended for SDOE offline would be somewhere around a:

p2 350
96 megs of ram
tnt2 or voodoo 3 2000

online would be more
p2 450
128 ram
tnt2 ultra OCed voodoo 3 3500 or a ge force

Where would rc sim fit in there?

Will there be hand-launch gliders? Can you use a hi-start? Is there a mode where you can practise catching them? That would be really fun

Looks A#1!

Michael, how about hellicopters? A long time ago (back when I used my Amiga) I purchased a program called "RC Aeroplane" or something like that. It came with a gutted Futuba transmitter. The inerds were changed so it acted like a fancy joystick box. In place of the antenna, was a cable with a serial plug on the end.
