What's the gauge flashing? Can't say I've noticed that, which is odd since I painted cockpits.

Also don't forget the Me262.

From what i understand about the gauge thing, is it only flashes under D3D on TNT cards.

The 262 thing will be added if ronin sends me the new SM tonight. If he doesn't then it wont be included.

I just wondered if anybody else has had problems with the Ju88 taking off under AI control. I've watched it and when the tail lifts, it swings to the right and eventually ploughs into the hedge, even when not carrying a payload. Didn't happen before 5.3.

Any ideas?

the Ju88 was changed after 5.2. It now contains a bug that will CTD if shot or blown up. An older version of the Ju88 will also be added to the patch. This added plane will not have any FM changes and will be the Factory CD plane. It will be removed once the bug is found and beat down by the whole OPP team with baseball bats.

OK I have to admit I only run SDOE in Glide and don't test in D3D. You just can't get the beta testers these days

Razer,

If you plan to include the Ju-88 without modifications from the original factory CD plane why not just remove it from the pack. Everyone has the factory CD plane and we don't need to include it if there aren't changes.

However, check MH's updated aircraft that he distributed with texture and other fixes. There may be fixes in this file that would be useful and worth including.

Spanky here...

Why not just go back to the 5.2 Ju88 for now?

One question, I have downloaded pp5.3 but I have not installed it yet, waiting for all the bugs or most of the bugs to be fixed. Now should I delete pp5.3 and just install pp5.3a or do you install pp5.3 and install pp5.3a on top of pp5.3? Thanks for the hard work on the plane pack guys.
Cheers.
Himdog out.

Okay, I spent the WHOLE morning going thru the Ju88a4. Michael H. had told me about an unused property that he found in the model, and when I deleted it the first time around, the gear would become unfunctional. This time, I went back to square one and made all the changes to the original model, not the texture remapped one, and in 6 missions offline, not one of them CTD'd on me. I just sent it off to Razer, hopefully in time for the pack 5.3a.

My apologies for the headaches.

The biggest changes to this model are the flight model - it climbs reasonably with all bomb and fuel loads, and it's no longer able to turn with a Spit (LOL), the gear has been beefed up and the shock absorbers take up alot more of the landing "bounce"; and the Damage Model. The engines will not disappear after they take maximum damage now, and if a fire breaks out in them, the fire will cause an explosion, ruining the pilot's lunch.

no fix for the crappy inflight map views for the 190's then? hhhmm.. and thinking about it, thats damn annoying CTD when the Spit 1a gets hit in the engine (1 hit usually does it).. .I'm sure most of us have had this now... only a little bity annoying.. Thanks for the work Razer, it's all well appreciated

Himdog - go ahead and install 5.3 (make sure you delete the old par files data14 and data15 from your media dir) 5.3a will be a patch that you extract into your media folder.

There may be a full blown 5.3a version released sat. but i'mnot sure. i'm not feeling very good right now so you'll be lucky to get the patch before tomorrow.

Time will tell.

But on a brighter note. testing is going very well on Pang's new Ju88 and is looking like it's now fixed.

As for the 190/109 map thing. This was the result of Mposis lowering the point of view to be more realistic. He's working with Michael to figure out how to move the map down.

Whew! That's a relief!

I meant to add that the rudder throw was increased 10 percent over 5.3, to help the AI on takeoff.

Okay, several online missions with Jaguar, Tailslide and Reaper confirmed that the CTD problem associated with the Ju88a4 are solved.

Great Razer, glad we get might a result on it

Tail, almost all of us in Cali12 have either had it, or at the very least know about it, most of us wont fly the spit anymore cause we're always getting ctd'd after the first hit.. which doesn't always take long.. lol I know some ppl don't always get it first hit, so I'm thinking it's related to damage taken in a certain area on the a/c, the last time it ctd me I saw a flash from the engine housing, thats why I think that might be where the problem lies, but I can't be sure whats causing it, only that it's there.

Nat, I asked last time I was online and no one was experiencing the crash with the 1a.. can you double check your setup or try a fresh install?

Pang- That's the link for sure? I don't want to download a multi-meg file to discover its the original 5.3 .
