Yes, I couldn't resist another update. It's been resized/modified/added to/chopped up/blended and fried on medium heat for 15 minutes, I hope you like it!From the readme.txt: Additions: Major graphical changes in line with SDOE Chameleon 2000 and EAW Control 2000. Added an option to change your default keyboard.inp file, simply make a copy or more of the keyboard.inp and edit it to your liking, choose any keyboard file for custom key/joystick settings. The Roger Wilco page now sends a chosen IP address from the list and opens Roger Wilco with that IP. Much more useful than before. Added a Remove option to delete Roger Wilco IP names and IP's from the list. A small help window to explain the Roger Wilco operation. Changed the maximum value for the fog option to 20 miles. Anything past this point is too much of a hog on the cpu anyhow. 9-12 miles is usually optimum. Fixes: Hopefully some errors when reading ini values that didn't exist have been squashed. Fixed an error when adding a new Name & IP address, reselecting the name on the list failed to show the IP correctly. Many thanks to Robert 'Wolfhound' Curtin (USA) for testing and suggestions. End of Update. Available now at: www.dogfighter.com and soon at: www.combatsim.com Enjoy. ------------------

You know what? I still use 1.2....now, you may say, well, what the heck?? Are you afraid to update it??Not at all...I still use it because it is GOOD! IMHO, a testimony to the great work Spyder did on this program! And any upgrades to it have to be fantastic...thanks, Spyder! BTW..if I decide to go to 2000, do I first uninstall any previous version as before, or will the new one just update a prior?? Great job! ------------------ nealg=FC=

Thanks guys.Nealg, uninstall is usually the best option. It works either way but you'll end up with two instances of the control in your add/remove programmes section or in your program files list on the start menu. Some confusion over the keyboard option: You copy as many keyboard.inp files as you like and rename them whatever you wish ( don't have to have the .inp extension neither), then you change any keys/joystick setttings in those files. Whenever you want to use a particular setup you just run that option and choose which keyboard file you want to use in sdoe. It becomes attached to the ini file line in sdemons.ini and is always used until you change it again. I just thought it may be useful for different situations or something. The rogere wilco page has a small window to explain how to add ip addresses that use channels, just remove the / from the ip. ie 205.240.163.12/510mhz should be added as: 205.240.163.12 510mhz For some reason it wouldn't join on roger wilco with the slash in there. Have fun.

MAN, I just downloaded and set up control 2000, it is GREAT, 100 times better than the last one I had ! Now I need some IP numbers to put on it. Last week or so, some one posted some on the board but I can't find them. If anyone has any, please post them for me.------------------ Suns Site http://nosuntzu.homestead.com/index.html

205.240.163.12 510mhz 205.240.163.12 511mhz 205.240.163.12 allies 205.240.163.12 axisetc. They're the ones we are using currently but you can use any number after the space to make your own up. Include each as shown to the ADD button but use the / if you enter it manually into roger wilco. cheers ------------------

OK, here is the deal. I have RW installed on my computer and it works great when it is run by it's self. When I click on the RW button on Control2000, nothing happens, it does not load or anything. I have read and followed the instructions on CD 2000 to the T. Is there something else I am supose to do?Other than that glich I am having, everything else works GREAT and I really like it.

Well it calls roger wilco fromthe registry so if you have manually linked rw to your desktop or added it without going through roger wilcos own setup that can happen. Try reinstalling the roger wilco util again, as long as you install to the same area you won't have to reregister it again. The last thing I can think of is you don't have the current RW version? I'm assuming you have mk1a or the 0.53 beta installed? cheers

Spyder for info: When i toggle the ambient lights settings i lose the planes textures... When I remove the lines from the ini everything's back to normal. I m not so sure if its simply Sdoe, or Sdoe control related. Btw I run D3D on a TNT2------------------ ___________ -=BAB=-Luny

Actually Luny this is in place for the mythical patch we're waiting on.If you hold your mouse above the ambient light and infinite light wording you should see a pop up hint informing you of this. I was going to remove them as some people couldn't understand why the dark effects wouldn't work. Right now it just darkens some textures and leaves weird artifacts. Leave it alone for now till the 1.5.1 patch. ( or try it with the beta patch) You have to add some settings in the mission file with notepad too which someone should be able to expand on here. regards

Spyder, this humble aviator (FNG) bows before your GREATNESS. I un-unstalled RW and installed the new version and all works well now. You are my ROLE MODEL, when I grow up I want to be just like you (I am 47 now). Thanks for all the help. Please take a minute to visit my site and place your web site on my most unworthy link page. Bonjour ! I've a small trouble with SDOE Control 2000. When I launch it, a message window opens with: "Invalid variant type conversion". After I click on OK to close this window, SDOE Control 2000 seems to run well, but I'm not sure as I need to go back to the options menu of SDOE to set some features.I had the same proble with the previous version of SDOE Control. I'm running FS with the last patch on Win98 2nd ed., french version with an AMD k6-2 450 mhz. Any idea? Thanks Arrowbase IP: Logged |

Salut Arrow!Le message d'erreur est "normal" si l'on peu dire. D'après Spyder il faut cliquer toutes les options afin qu'il disparaisse. Moi, je fais avec. Sorry for non french speakers! ;p ------------------ P/O STef Editor http://stephan.bondier.free.fr/gazette.html

yeah as Stef says, usually clicking on the options rectifies most errors. Try a few and then if the control loads with the options that you previously checked all should be fine. Now only recently I found out that the french use the comma for the decimal point and not the dot. I had to rework Eaw control for this as well, my util was specifying a precision value when writing to the ini file which caused french ( and maybe other European countries) users to get the invalid variant error. The control tried to read in the comma instead of the decimal. If you could send me your sdemons.ini file I can take a look and see if the error occurs my way for debugging. Merci de faire un tour sur ma web! ------------------

Spyder and STef, thanks for the quick reply. I will do what you suggested. Anyway, I was almost sure it came from the language of the system (I met that with some other stuffs in industry...). Spyder, I will send to you my sdemons.ini before and after all the boxes checked.Merci aux merveilleux fous volants dans leurs drôles de machines !!! IP: Logged |
