Hi! I play EAW and was wondering what everyone thought of this game when they first bought it? I am thinking about buying it but I don't want to waste money...Thanks in advance, JG300x_Hartmann IP: Logged |

We have all of these neet new planes, additions, and such, but gosh darn it, we need more missions to fly them in. Other than that, it's a hoot.IP: Logged |

Personally, having flown EAW for 3 months, I though SDOE was a heap of crap when I first tried it and was that close to returning it. But thanks to EB's 10 day returns policy I stuck with it and now find it very difficult to go back to EAW.It's not perfect but it's improved beyond all recognition from the SDOE of 11 months ago and will continue to do so. ------------------ Yardstick painted this

I own EAW and WW2 fighters, well every other WW2 sim to be honest.. like Yardstick I almost shelved SDOE the first day I had it but after I got going online I couldn't stop. It's all I've been playing for almost a year and EAW hasn't gotten air time in the last 8 months. Pick it up and give it a chance.. it will grow on you. TS

I own WWII Fighters, EAW and SDOE.I finished EAW's BOB but then took it off my drive to make room for SDOE downloads. I like EAW! It has a nice big feel to it and its a complete well rounded product. But I got really bored with its lack of aggressiveness on the part of enemy fighters. I finished BOB with all difficulty settings maxed and can only remember a couple of pings from enemy fighters, I was never shot down by anything but a bomber and came home with 2 - 4 kills every mission! And I'm not that good of a fighter pilot! I haven't flown Janes much yet. SDOE has satisfied my interest for many months now. I guess one of the biggest reasons is that it is a brand new sim every time that you log onto this site! That's because of the open code of the game and all the new items being developed all the time! Too cool! Ronin ------------------ Ronin's current project... Nieport 17c.1 IP: Logged |

Welcome Hartmann. I first bought CFS and liked it, Then EAW and really like it, Next was Janes WW II it had some cool stuff (Deer hunting with a P-51) Last I bought SDOE and I hated it. I read a few posts on the message board and gave it another try. Soon I liked the feel of it so much that I did not like to play the other games and uninstalled them (CFS, EAW and WWII) and gave them all away. Now 11 months later I can truly say the SDOE was the best software purchase I have ever made. I have to fly a mission or two every day and I always look forward to checking this forum. It is loaded with new stuff and very helpful people. Be sure to read the online standard. Download the 1.5 Patch, Plane Pack 5.3 (This will blow you away) and get the Keyboard map guide by Ronin. If you need any help or have any questions you know where to find everybody. Good luck Raider {GS} IP: Logged |
