The Nations Project - Australia is coming along slowly. For my fellow Aussie's and anyone else interested, I've posted a couple of screen shots on my home page...just follow the links.

Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation

My 'Alternative' Japanese Skins can also be found there.

Redback, Sorry I haven't replied to you yet, will do tonight (promise!). Your help is very much needed with the sounds and I appreciate the offer.

Werner, Visited BCATP Nations page. Status as shown is correct, still wiating on Zoy to complete the medal background though. Once I have this and complete the medals (not a big job) all that is missing is the sounds.

ALL, Let us know what you think of my home page .... this is my first attempt at anything like this..

Cheers,

AGAS 5

It is looking great, AGAS-5!! That will be a great addition to the Nations project when it's done- I saw earlier you had lots of volunteers for sounds- how is that going? Good luck!

Thanks Jeeves !

Things should start to hot up from here on in. I'm back from my little trip and ready to go !

I think Redback and Thunder are going to help out.

Although the job is not complicated, it is long. I've cut it down to three parts:

1) Research. Apart from the accent, how the hell did the Aussies talk back then ???

2) Recording. The long part !

3) Processing. Adding the radio hash sounds at the start and end of each .wav file. Again not hard but long.

I guess we'll see what happens over the next few weeks.

Cheers,

AGAS 5

Not that I'm in any position to volunteer his services, but if you're real nice to Lector he may be inclined to work his magic on your sound files (point 3 on your plan) for you. I started this project saying I could do that, but after hearing what Lector can do I've realized there is so much more to it.

BTW - I love the site (and thanks for top billing in the links section. Right above FSHangar, just the way I like it when you get a banner like that of your own made up email it to me and I'll link to your site)

Hi AGAS-5,
Great to hear you're back. Were you P40 searching or bush-bashing??
I am still willing to help.
Have you thought of contacting the War Memorial to see if there are any vets in the area, or if they have any tapes of aussie radio chatter? They have heaps of stuff.

Drop me an e-mail and I'll see if i can help.

Spanky here...

one thought on the page. Lighten up on the compression of the jpg you use as your background. It loads really fast but you can see the compression nastys. Most programs let you adjust it. I would turn it down just a tad.

You can really see it in the small writing in the title. Other then that it looks great.
