Hi All,
If you've downloaded the Go229 or He162 from our site, you can solve the invisible Allied pilot problem by downloading the 42k fix for each plane. Instructions are in the zips, but the fix is just deleting the \media\pilot folder and copying the .sm file to \aircraft\(name of plane) folder
for the 162 its http://www.greenforce.net/fs/162pilotfix.zip
the 229 is http://www.greenforce.net/fs/Go229pilotfix.zip

if I pooched those addys you can go direct to the site at http://www.greenforce.net/fs/fs.htm

Really sorry for the hassle. Complex stuff, and we just didn't see that Allied pilots were invisible (or immortal bcs of it) -rt

Hehe I wondered if it was you guys that were responsible for that one...

You can also make a copy of the gpilotsit.sm model and rename it pilotsit.sm. I think that the default path for the models to find the pilot is to look in that pilot folder. Of course this will make your allied pilots look German!

The real pilot figure is buried deep in data1.par I think (that's where I found him anyway, along with the .tifs for his appearance). If you fetch him out of there and put him into the media/pilots folder, you'll have your allied pilot back (and be able to make new pilots too). On the bright side, this allowed me to make a US Navy pilot figure for the Corsair, so I can't stay mad at you guys

Panzer here as it was me that that dropped
this brick with He162, the Go229 was okay,
I updated both with their own pilots, so
now you dont need that pilot dir under media
just delete it and open up SDOE and extract
Go229 or He162 pilotzip all files will be put in right dir,s.
You can also contact me and i can send files.

Sorry about that.

Is this the one that was causing the pilot to have an extra pair of legs coming from his midsection? What's up with that?

Sorry to be a pest over this but....I followed your instructions, deleted the media\pilot folder, copied the Hepilot.sit and Gopilot.sit sm's to their correct aircraft\(name of plane) folder. Now their legs stick out of the bottom of the plane!
