I just installed a new Voodoo 3 3000 card to replace my Voodoo 2 sli set up and it works great except for a centering problem in SDOE in 1024 by 768. The screen with the check boxes that fill up as it loads a new mission or flight is off center and too large (was centered and smaller with my V2 sli) and in the game my cockpit seating is to far left and even moving it over via keyboard will not center it. other resolutions are fine.Help? Spanky here... Resize the screen up Ctrl/= and it will go really small in the left bottom hand corner. then keep sizeing up till its full. if you go too far press ctrl/- to bring it down. I'm pretty sure you have to go up first and have it kinda loop to small first to fit it right

hhhmmm.. thanks Spanky, I'll try that too, I thought it was purely a glitch with the game and Voodoo3IP: Logged |

Spanky, that does get the screen centered but if I exit and go back in I have to do it all over again, each time. There is something wrong with that resolution while using the 3000 card. I would like to hear from others like Nat that is having the same problem.IP: Logged |

I've had loads of games where the menu and in game screens were off-center. I use the monitor buttons to reposition the image and everything is fine after that. Some games don't do it at any res, but the worst ones need recentering for every res.IP: Logged |

Siggi I wish that was it but if I resize with the monitor controls it just shows me that the screen is already centered and sized for that resolution. It is the program that is off center.IP: Logged |

You've got a weird monitor mate! Mine lets me adjust the horizontal and vertical sizes and positions, without any messages telling me when it's supposedly dead center. Check your manual, I've never heard of a monitor that didn't allow at least those basic utilities. Good luck. IP: Logged |

Hawk, try running the latest beta build of SDOE. That's one of the things MH fixed. You can run it in 1024x768 without everything being off-center. Also, if you've tried taking any screen shots in 1024x768, they were probably messed up too. The beta fixes this. I just wish we had a solid beta to play online with. Guess I can keep on wishing -=TheReaper=- IP: Logged |

I just went up to the next higher resolution in Glide 1168x900 or something like that, and it works OK. Usin a Celeron 300 OC to 450.Or was it Direct3D? Forget which I'm runnin, but only one of em has the 1168-res. ------------------ --jedi-- IP: Logged |
