There you go, the new d/l's should install everything correctly this time, giving you the new folders under your Media directory once extracted.. airfields, missioneditor, terrain, towns and targets, and add a folder to your missions with a lil mission for snowydover. The Patch contains what files I believe were missing from the first downloads, and should extract into your media directory into the correct folders... here's hoping.... Really hope this gets it, I know what a pain it is d/ling sumthin that don't work cause I know what a pain it is uploading it! LOL

Works fine and looks good to me Only glitch I have is a CTD whenever I crash in the water with a custom plane (although I haven't tried them all). Water seems too dark because the blue is outweighed by the brightness of the snow; and the seaming I'm sure you'll be able to fix now that you have the proof of concept working. Really nice job - more work than I care to think of IP: Logged |

Thanks alot Road, yeah it is alot of work, more tedious than hard, I'm still working on it bit by bit trying to take out any problems I've found, or you guys tell me about, right now that line is a hard one, what I might have to do is build a new super jpg and redo the see completly, that should then remove that line, but it could make it a large patch for you guys.nearly forgot, that problem with ctdwhen crashing into the water I've not had myself, it maybe something in the model for the plane, or it may be the map, I really can't say, the actual SM for the map had very little changed, other than to link to the new town textures, map textures etc. and the removal of hedge rows, for some reason after changing the texture links only, hedge rows would appear across the middle of airstrips, don't ask me why cause I didn't touch that, just the texture links themselves, so it seemed easiest to remove them all together, well, it is winter after all, big green hedge rows didn't suit it well.. lol The main thing for me is that it's now working for you, and I know what I'm doing now.. lol, so re texturing maps difficulty wise is pretty easy, so I'll be able to work on others now without too much trouble, thing is, lets face it, if the maps green it's not winter, if it's white it is.. what else is there? lol [This message has been edited by Nat (edited 02-12-2000).] IP: Logged | |
