Actually, it has happened to me a bit recently, also, and I am in California. For almost a full week, I would get suddenly booted from anywhere online...lobby, game setup, etc., and when trying to get back in, I would get blank screens at the server or lobby screens, or a constant 9999 at the server screen. This would go on for quite some time.....then, suddenly, whoosh!! Back in with no problem.Weird..

Mad Dog here... Yup that happened to me last night actually! I thought everyone must have been pissed at me or something! I was in the lobby chatting away then all of a sudden everyone dissapeared into thin air...never to return. I have no idea what was going on but I think we are just too much competition Tailslide!  Anyone know whats happening? ------------------

got to be the recent crop of solar flares !or maybe the amazon/cnn/ebay hackers were warming up on cali 12(that wasn't any of you guys was it,I desperatly needed to spend money last night on ebay and couldn't!!) IP: Logged |

Happened to me again tonight - got home from work, loaded up SDOE, clicked 'internet'...and 9999 for all servers! When the screen finally loaded, which took 2 minutes. I waited, and ping on 12 'dropped' to 5170! I sloooowly made my way to the lobby, and was pinging others at 5200!!Suddenly the pings began to drop, and things went smoothly from there. Hmm...Solar flares, eh?? Yahoo hackers?? Activision sabotage?? Kidding!! ( maybe, hehehe ).

Weirdly enough I haven't had any probs connecting to CalXII these days, it even appears to have lower pings than usual (around 250 for the server).
Maybe its due to the fact that I connect quite late compared to US time.
Btw I connect from France, Europe on a 56k modem....
