Ok, i see a few of you are testing online and i've even joined in some on that. I also know a few of you are wondring with the final release of the pack will be.Well there's no date set yet. Thats cause we have a few final touches on a few planes that are being done. The 109's are getting a few tweaks, and the 190A4 is getting a touch up to fix mapping problems and a few enhancments. I'm touching up the P51D in the mean time so look for the updated P51D in the planepack. I've added dole's fixed tail mapping. (thanks dole) and also dole's Exhuast pipes from the A-36. (thanks again dole). I'd also updated the prop to add a moving spinner and more realistic props. The props can be painted now just like the spit. All paint schemes for the P51 will look the same unless you paint the tails. the area will be shown in a jpg so people making P51 schemes or have already mad eP51 schemes can go back to fix them so they will be historicly accurate. The P38 has been fixed and is no longer a turnless dog. And as per a goof up on me. the new Open hangar will be in the final as well as the Lanc. with moving front turret. I know i'm leaving something out but right now i can't think of it. Enjoy! XXXXX UPDATE XXXXX Oh yea, see told you i was forgeting something. Ronin has sent me an updated Me-262 model with movable cockpit. this will also be in 5.3 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX [This message has been edited by PéPé The Flying Monkey (edited 02-08-2000).] [This message has been edited by Razer (edited 02-08-2000).] IP: Logged |

Two questions: - Are these enhancements adding any Poly's to the planes? If so how many and can they be removed? - Who the heck is PéPé The Flying Monkey ?? Thanks for tackling the plane pack Razer I know it's a lot of work. TS

Tail,i'm not sure of the total about added. It's not enough to cause FPS drops, and the exhuats pipes and new spinner and props look great. as well as the fixed mapping on the tail. I would like to thank dole for his work on the A-36. i use it a lot and the improvments on it have help many other planes. PéPé The Flying Monkey is kind of the Hangars maskot. He started off as a test monkey for the space program. and after 2 flights was retired to Flight simulation testing where he is now better then any other human pilot when lfying in the simulator. He was adopted by the Hangar and now flies SDOE and patrols my posted to fix any typos i may have. I think PéPé is going to fly some SDOE tonight if anyone else wants to join him. Hi Razer,Thanks for keeping us posted. Would you mind explaining, though, about the paintscheme consequences in greater detail? I don't understand what you mean about the P51. Are any other planes affected as well? Will this plane pack make old schemes useless or messed-up? Thanks, Werner ------------------ Do you support SDOE online? A-4:Right side now correctly displayed; elevator now correctly mapped; upper cowl mapping much improved. Spit V: right side of tail now displays correctly; spinner texture now in correct location. I don't know about the P-51. ------------------ Yardstick painted this

Panzer,I've asked Razer to put the Go229 back up on his website and in the planepack. I hope you don't mind. I just feel like I "own" the rights to it since without my having built it to begin with, we probably wouldn't have it now at all (yet). So, just letting you know, if you see it in the near future again that's why. IP: Logged |

Deigo, and you think you have a lot of updates to do I have already converted 3 of my remianing 9 190A-4s. The mapping is a bit quirky but once you work it out easy to get on with. These took about 20mins each and are well worth it. The remainder of my 190As I have converted to the A-8, and this can involve far more work (mainly because I have used the oportunity to update the skins using recently learned techniques. Some of the older skins I even scrapped and started from scratch The Spit 5 took about about 30secs - so no problems there. The results are pleasing though. ------------------ Yardstick painted this

The P51D mapping problem is on the horazonal stabes. they are mapped on the wing and you can't paint the tails without painting the wing. this will no longer be the problem. The mapping is moved down so you can paint the tail without having to paint the wing.Old schemes will work because they had the problem when they was made. they may just need to be touched up so the look complete. you'll notice that most of the other P51 schemes have different colors stabes and elevators. this is due to a mapping problem. this is now fixed. i'm just now working to finish the prop.
