I but and pasted some metal bits from this file and put them in the exhaust of my V-2, hoping to see a little particle action as the V-2 flys up (and pieces falling down, textured of course as flames), but they don't. I'm assuming I have to hit it (the V2) in order to see this stuff fall off. Am I right to assume this? Would there be a way I could just have them fall off when it's loaded into the game and they just keep spraying out the exhaust?

If so this would look very cool.

I'm also toying with a Tornado for the sim (I do have the plane, but also... A TORNADO!)

Seeing how great the V-2 looks inspired me to try some weather type stuff, and that's by far my favorite weather related event.

For a FANTASTIC mesmerizing screen saver (BY FAR the neatest one I've ever seen), go to the ScreenSaver section at www.3Dfiles.com and download Cyclone. A VERY COOL tornado on your PC! Incredible beauty in this 46k Zip file! Once you run it (it looks great with the default settings but there are several you can tweak) you'll truly be mesmerized by it. I just stared at it for a good 20 minutes as it continuously changes. Very good stuff!

I'm hoping to do a very realistic tornado though (getting some great ideas from that screensaver too) in SDOE just for an experiment like I said, but wanted to share that cool little guy with you. I've never seen a tornado (besides the one in Sim City 3000) that looks very very cool. I'm hoping to make the first one

Also when you are there, Beam V1.5 is an incredibly gorgeous space screensaver where you are watching space ships battle each other. Choose the highest res you PC can take and prepare to be VERY impressed. The graphics are SO crisp and sharp.

I'm going screensaver happy right now. FireFlower is another one, a really great fireworks show (my son loves this).

So, I guess no one knows about this debris stuff? I was kind of hopeing someone did. It would add alot if I could implement it in some of my additions. You know, without having to hit it with bullets to see it in action. Just a way to turn it on and it stays "debrising"

Pete...this "reply" isn't really a reply to the message I clicked on...it's just that I'm too much of a novice to know how to reach you otherwise. Had a couple of questions I thought you could answer. Would contact Kopper (he was a big help several months ago) but I don't see his name anywhere. Here are the questions:

1. I can't seem to get the throttle to work on my Sidewinder Force Feedback pro. Any advice?

2. I've seen some posts that someone might be working on a patch for that joystick. Do you know if this is the case?

thanks,

Dan

Hey Pete,

While you're modeling weather, why don't you stick up a sun object. Now that would be really nice.
