Just tried the Nendo demo and I like it.
I know that some of you are using it, would you please tell me what you use to convert files (and any other tasty tidbits of info to help me in my quest to become a modeler)

Thank you

I use 3D Exploration, or Crossroads for the few conversions I do - mostly when I'm working in max or truespace. With Nendo I make sdoe meshes from scratch bcs I don't get all the extra polys that come with lathing or lofting in another app, and reducing polys in such an import is tediously long, even in nendo.
Do the tutorial and then start a bird. Hot tip is to rotate a sphere 90deg on the X axis and stretch it along the Z axis to be the fuselage. Beyond that, you just have to pay your dues learning it. Doing a decent lowpoly mesh is hard work - 90% of the work is in the last 10%
Once you're started, post specific questions in the projects forum. -rt
