I've recently had the honor of test piloting the DVII by Zoycite and Raider and the Bristol F2b by Nuum. These are such beautiful works that I have persuaded their engineers to let me post some screens of them and I decided I would do a group photo with the new birds along with the ones that SV has already released to us for consumption... so here they are! http://home.pacbell.net/nathanm/images/ Only 4 so far - I'm trying to figure out if I can make dissimmilar planes fly a formation and get some flying group pics. Anybody know the answer to that one? -Stark{GS}

Very nice pics! I can't think of any way to get them to formation fly together though... Well, maybe have each plane in its own squad assigned to escort the next... ------------------ -Sv =FC= WWI in SDOE!

Stark, We just need to all meet online. It would be great to see all those planes fly together. We should include Michael's Camel if he is ready for some sceenshots. Even throw in the Dr1.Good idea getting a group shot. Raider {GS} IP: Logged |

I am so impressed I can't think of the right words to convey what I think of these planes. They look so righteous.Fantastic work fellows and that goes for all the great user made add-ons that I have seen lately. You are making one simmer very happy he choose this game and found this group. ------------------ silas "Widowmaker" Demon's Runway IP: Logged |

Sv, if you are very careful and accurate you can do mock formation flying! You basically set them on a course at X altitude and X speed, and zoom way in on the mission editor map you are using. Place them VERY close together (use trial and error) and you can end up with some very nice pics. I did this with all the new Navy jets I have and it was very fun. It felt like we were all going into enemy territory together

Stark,Great job! Are you modeling too ? We need a lot of guys to make the WWI stuff. Itīs just the beginning. Are you creating the screenshots with the Z key or another screen capture software ? Dauntless This thing is possible because of your work. Thank you !

Nuum...Unfortuanantly I have the modelling skills of a meatloaf. So, no, I don't model Really wish I had the knack for it though... As for the screenshots, I use the Z key and to keep the jagginess down I take the shot in 1280x1024 and then use photoshop to scale it back to 1024x768 or smaller and save it as a jpg. This seems to reduce any jagged edges quite a bit (well, hide them at least). -Stark{GS} <-- AKA The Artless Wonder IP: Logged |

TK -Yes and Yes. Nuum informs me that currently the turret model is 'borrowing' some guns from the B-17 but this will be changed before release. Right now that F2b can drop 4 out of 5 SE5a's before being shot down... and it's great fun to man the turret and just disintegrate the other AC. It may not yet be realistic, but it is real fun! -Stark{GS} IP: Logged |

Been decent Pete! One of these days were gonna have to get together for a beer - were just down 80 from each other ya know!We should do so soon.. before you spontaneously combust from OpenPlane Induced Sleep Loss and Spontaneous Combustion Disorder (OPISLSCD for short) ... Seriuosly though - amazing stuff your doing these days. You should come on-line once in awhile, we'll have some more of those good times! -Stark{GS} BTW - we still consider you a squadron member.. Once A {GS}, Forever a {GS} (Cause we never let em go - and besides, those tatoos are a pain to get removed.) IP: Logged |

~Snipe~Are you talking about the F2b ? It isn't the best one is just the bigger one The WWI aircrafts the guys are crating look so beautiful that sometimes I forget to fight and just flight away for pleasure. Sv, Zoy, Raider, Michael, Dauntless you are the guys! Thanks! T.K. Sax You can visit Sv's page. Great site ! Lots of information about the creation of the planes. nuum WWI aircraft

You are so modest Nuum The F2b is the only WWI plane in that shot with wires, and that long wingspan... it is quite a work of art - and a two seater none the less! Amazing But about that FM... -Sv IP: Logged |
