Is anyone else seeing oddities with the 229?

When I fly it as soon as I hit the 400-500mph range, the plane starts rapid logitudinal oscilations, and the speed rapidly builds until it's off the dia.

This continues until the plane breaks apart. Cutting the engine when the shaking starts seems to have no effect.

Maury, make sure you haven't flown to the edge of the map. You get there fast in the Go 229 and the symptoms you describe sound like the "wall" at the edge.

Nat - Don't give up so easily. Sure she's a sod to learn, but once you get the hang of her she's nearly impossible to get shot down in. To be honest, I have yet to even get scratched in one! From a B17's point of view, I think the Go229 is like a sheet of paper with really big guns. LOL! I love it! Panzer did an amazing job on it. The secret to flying it (imho)? Do NOT Yank-and-Bank.

You nailed it Jerry, it was the edge-of-map issue.

Bizzare!

Glad to help. Not so bizarre....how else do you model the edge of the known universe?
