Hi guys we reinstalled SDOE and the stick and the hat works fine but the view doesn't return to forward after you look somewhere with the hat. It worked fine before and it will return to forward if you hit the 8 key on the keypad but that kinda makes the hat useless.

I've got it too, and it sucks! It started after I downloaded the key commands. It would be cool to get the hat back if possible.

I think it's a bug that's been around forever. Sometimes mine works, most of the time not though.

i 've got it too and it sucks too.it started just after i downloaded the key commandes that goes with the f14.
it 's very hard to fly in this conditions.
does anyone try to reinstall only the originals commandes?

Well Mad Dog Downloaded the F-14 also and i'm starting to think that may be the problem.

Where do we get the original keyfile? Is it in a par file on the disk or no?

Use the 'keyboard standard' file thing. It's got all the commands added for airbrakes, canopy, etc.. plus a new keyboard reference you can print.

OK this bug has also hit me recently (dunno if it's the modified keyboard.imp for the F-14 that causes this). I also noticed sometimes from external view (F2) the point of view suddenly changes all the way around (say, for instance I was watching my plane from his 4 o'clock, i started to roll and BOOM, I am now at his 10 o'clock). Very strange, I never noticed this before.

Anyway you can restore your original view by hitting shift-keypad 5.

Well we have to figure this out cause it pretty much makes the hat useless. If i wanted to use the keypad for viewing i wouldn't have bought a stick with a hat. That pretty much what i am doing right now cause everytime the view sticks i have to hit up for forward view.

The new keyboard.inp file activates the mouse view which is off by default. If you bump the table and your mouse moves your view will go all funny..

TS hit it.....
I enabled mouse view and once I did that.. it happens with my Panther DX joystick hat views. I just shift keypad 5 to reset and go from there..... but it is becuase of the mouse being moved around by having the table bumped.
