Where can I get the pacific stuff? I've got the Zero, what about the Corsair I saw at the Warpaint Factory? GOTTA HAVE IT! Are the carriers finished? Is there terrain? Missions? Anything?

Right now- the Zero is the only plane we have for the Pacific (well- the P-38, B-17, P-51, and Spit were there too  )- but the Corsair, Dauntless, and Wildcat are in the works for the contest. The P-39 is also being worked on, I believe.As far as missions- Archie had some Pearl Harbor/Midway missions done, and I have a 10 mission Midway campaign that I am just getting the kinks out of- it will be released with the Dauntless (and hopefully will have the Wildcat added in as well). Carriers should've been in the last plane pack- if you got it, look in the mission editor for the Saratoga or Saratoga2 and the New Akagi carrier. Terrain- not yet- they say you can use Island, but I haven't been able to get it to work. IP: Logged |

am I right in saying though, that at the moment we don't actually have maps for Miday and pacific airwar in general, these missions I guess are based on Africa?------------------

Hold on guys, she's coming!    Now let me srtess that this is more of a SIDE PROJECT. My first concern right now is the Dauntless. Right now I have Midway and Hawaii (crudely) drawn in on that map. ------------------

And yes- for now, my Midway missions are based on the northern islands of the Africa map- and actually in only a few cases do the plane even get close to the mainland- so it works pretty good until a fix (or Jag's new terrain) is done.IP: Logged |
