Hi T.K. Sax, The hope is just after the contest is over (After the end of March). We need to get the FMs to match up as best we can. Yes, there will be many historical missions, and I hope some new WWI ground objects. There will be WWI squads to choose (there are a sew now.) The biggest question is terrain... we have no WWI terrain. The current terrain works very good actually, but not from a historical piont of view. I don't know how doable new terrain will be.. it depends on the tools and who wins the year license of Creator Do you want to help us in any way? Any WWI help is very welcome! Especialy historical knowledge, etc. - or just cool WWI ideas... ------------------ -Sv =FC= WWI in SDOE!

Hey Sax,The problem is that SDOE's terreain is actually a very large 3D object. This is cool becasue we can have very nice hilly terrain, even cliffs and caves, but it means that editing the terrain is 3D editing, not just a graphic skin. You can updates just the skin, like the kick-ass winter terrain or the night terrain, but if we want a new lay of land and new ground objects we need to edit the terrain 3D model. It can be done don't get me wrong, its just that our tools are not yet optomized for this task. It will happen... I have been flying RB3D to get up to speed... fun! -Sv IP: Logged |

Oh yeah I had forgoten about that SDOE Terrina, and far as RB2 3d the fm is porked some gusy have made some great strides in that area, but the its all trial and error, there are some inherent problems in the RB2 engine that they will never over come,. how ever I am sure that you guys can build a pretty acurate FM for hte ww1 planes... or at least that what I am hoping for.. if you need data on A Particular planes performance I am sure I can dig it up some where.Sax IP: Logged | |
