Just put one in my machine the other night:
G400 Max Dual Head. Well, it aint as fast as my two voodoo two's in SLI, so they are going back in.
G400 does great D3d, albeit it isn't near as fast as the 2 voodoo cards .(down to 15-30 FPS with 3 b17s in offline play) My voodoo twos never seem to go below 40, and most of the time theyre around 70 FPS. I'm going to keep the G400 for working with openplane, you can zoom in on areas of your primary monitor with the second monitor, great for working with ops studio, and 3d modelling software.
I haven't put my two voodoo 2's back in yet, so hopefully there won't be any problems(there is a documented problem with the G400's turboGL and voodoo chips, but hopefully I can just unload TGL.
My system:
p3 450
128 megs pc100 ram
17 gig hd
20 gig hd
G400 Max 32 Megs DualHead AGP,
2 Voodoo 2 12 meg boards SLI
