In all my tweaking with the head on the RIO, it FINALLY occurred to me to give him a gun loadout, since it really is a turret. Well thankfully I was able to enter a loadout with ZERO ammo and it works now! Now I'm gonna attempt to do the same with the pilot's head as well. I also ended up using Ccrewpostion 'gunSlew instead of the turret one, but I think the turret would have worked also.

Also, since the dof's are so controllable he moves in a realistic fashion (non of that Exorcist head spinning backwards stuff). Hehe.

Here are some pics of the RIO posed, sitting in back of the Tomcat. Notice the waving arm (ok it doesn't really wave, it's propped against the canopy frame when it's closed).

Just call him metal man for now, he needs texturing in a bad way.

Your not kidding. I finally got the pitch working (forgot the ( and ) in the dofID 'pitch line...

(dofID 'pitch) made a big difference.

Anyhow I was just in a 2 vs 2 Tomcat dual to the death, and I'd just zoom in as much as I could on each one and watch the guys looking at the other guys. If you think it's creepy now, wait till their all nice and textured. I swear they looked alive. Pretty neat looking.
