Does anyone have any images of the inside of the F4F cockpit? I have the one Dole posted from the FM2. Does anyone own the book Cockpit : An Illustrated History of World War II Aircraft Interiors ? If so does it have an F4F cockpit in it? I'd get the book if i knew it did.

OK, don't laugh...

Does anyone know how to take a screen shot in Air Warrior 3? The Wildcat is one of the AW planes, and AW3 does a pretty good job at making their cockpits look like the real planes, at least as far as the "environment," if not the actual instrument placement.

I can't find any command for screenshot in my manual, but you can of course make a film of a flight in AW. And then run the film and pause it and draw the layout I guess...

Warbirds also has a Wildcat, but WB takes quite a few liberties with cockpit layout. The windscreen looks right, but the instruments are pretty generic and "game-ized."

Not much help there I know...

Jedi,

first link doing a search on Alta Vista under F4U Cockpit:
http://members.aol.com/zeno303/Pages/F4USTUFF.html

The Jpegs won't load on my work PC but it looks a good site.

If you need any advice on the design of the cockpit i.e. texture resolution, size and techniques, drop me a line. I have learned quite a few tricks doing the 109s, 190s and Zero.

Yardstick I think thats the F4U, not F4F cockpit. This is the link to the pic on Dole's site.

I just would like pics from different perspectives so i can see more of the cockpit. Also I cant exactly tell what all of the instruments are. But oh I cant wait to have an dof for the landing gear crank and indicator

Falck,

Yes I know it's the F4U, but Jedi went off on a tangent and I just followed

I will scan my links for the F4F though.

BTW I would be surprised if the Eastern built FG-2's cockpit was that different from it's earlier Grumman cousins.
