Hi everyone,My squad leader, Serval, pronounced he'll be making a new version of GC. The new GC will be able to make a ZIP file (containing the texture, description and an optional picture) itself. You will only have to select a normal texture and fill out a small form and you have a GC ready file. The new GC will also install parfiles and it will keep the same functions it still has. For GC v.2.1 go here http://www.tomb.demon.nl/alt/index.htm I'll keep you guys updated on this. Cu, Poodle ------------------ Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a Flying Poodle ! IP: Logged |

If there is anyone who doesn't have 'Ground Crew' - GO GET IT! It's the dogs bollocks (for all the N.Americans in the audience that's really rather spiffing in Blighty speak). I don't know what I would do with out it. Increased functionality - bring it on. ------------------ Yardstick painted this

Here is what is coming up: Now only NEW AIRCRAFT and TERRAIN will install PAR-files. From now on, every type of object will unzip a par-file if it's included. With warning for allready existing. Support for installing countries added (only in par-file format) Installing for missions added. While researching I discovered a typo in the RIBBONS directory: take a look at the way Great Britian is spelled (no I did not make a typo now). The nw version makes it easy to create ZIP-files: You place all the files needed for your object into 1 directory. You let GC point to that directory and then select which type of object it is. Select or type Aircraft type (or scenery name or whatever). Type the title and the name of the ZIP-file. Check to include it into your own GC list and can select another directory where you want it to have it for upload for example. You browse for the little preview image (80x40 pixels) Optional you can give your homepage address. Press the button and the ZIP-file with all needed files included will be created. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. IP: Logged |

This picture shows the screen that helps you to make a ZIP file.
Since I do not have a lot of time it will take over a week to finish this babe. I also want to have the help-file ready before I release it. People eager to test it when the exe file itself is ready can mail me at arjan@europeanaf.org IP: Logged |

After another discussion I had I'd like to state that the Files button has two possabilities: 1. You search your TIF files for example and a new zip-file will be created 2. You search for an existing ZIP-file and let GC add the file.id.txt and other files to that ZIP-file.IP: Logged |

Any file that claims to be Camo Commander compatible is good for use.You can also go to http://www.europeanaf.org and go to the RESOURCES and then FILES. But make sure you go to the SDOE part of the site (by selecting it as your favorite flihtsim IP: Logged |
