Hi everyone,I made a boat model of the Dutch cruiser De Ruyter which sank during the battle of the Javasea in 1942. The model is made in Nendo, and a first Lector was going to build the ship for me. Since I still haven't received a floating ship from Lector more than 6 months later, I thought maybe someone else could help me out, since Lector has been very busy. If someone wants to make this one float for me, I'll be him very thankfull. For more detail, see this site: http://home.wxs.nl/~poodle/FlyingPoodle/Xfiles/Javaseas.htm If someone wants to help me out, please contact me. I would do it myself if I knew how to, and even so, my Nendo isn't registered so I can't convert the Nendo file into an object file. Just add a wheel to the main part of the model, and set the diameter to be 2X the height that you want the boat to be above the water. REF: ExeterOf note, inertia=sink. Uh, no reference to the fine company hosting this board. IP: Logged |

Thanks Whirlwind, but it wasn't actually what I was looking for. I really have NO idea how to make a ship (object) and I can't even make an object file out of my 3D model. I only have a Nendo file. The answer I'm actually waiting for is "I do it". But anything is welcome though.IP: Logged |

Poodle...that's true...I had realy big troubles to make your ship go the long way to FS SDOE...The problem was the converting from Nendo to the game. Hippie's tools (builder / extractor...who remember it? ) wouldn't do the job. (messed up...ctd) Since then...the tools have changed...and I forgot your work on my harddisk (wich crashed 2 weeks ago ). As my freetime is VERY limmited (and was during the last weeks - my business is very busy...14-16 hours work per day), could someone else take a look at it? Hope you can get it float/sink... C-ya! Add the wheel Whirl mentioned in nendo and send the ndo file to (mike@fireman.net) and I'll send you back the obj file so you can get on with it in OPS and UV Mapper.IP: Logged |

Does this wheel really have to be round? And, if you make the wheel really tiny, where will the water level then be? In the middle of the model. So the wheel should be the height of the model to make the lowest part of it just touch the water? And does this wheel need to stick out at some point? Or has it to be inside the model?Too many questions... ??? ------------------ Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a Flying Poodle ! IP: Logged |

Oh, that was an obWheel(X,Y,Z) I was mentioning. I thought he had it ported to OP. It usually is better to port the thing over as parts, usually the bigger, the better. I'd do it, but I am rather busy getting my project done and polished by at least Feb 15, so I can do a Cylon Raider as well.IP: Logged |

I haven't got any haste, cause I've waited long enough, a few more days won't matter. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out. I totally have no idea how to make a boat, and I have never made any object before for SDOE. I've just messed around with textures and renaming a few lines in sm files and things like that. And I want to make some object sometimes, but begin at the start with something easy, and not immediately a boat. Just let me know.------------------ Is it a bird? Is it a plane?
