Hello and thanks for dropping in.I want to put together a comprehensive page of links and information on every object, skin, sound, mission (insert thing I've forgotten here) created for OpenPlane and FS.
This includes things that are "done" as well as things currently under development
You guys have been doing some really impressive work and I want to make sure that there's one place where newbies and other interested parties can go to find your work.
The links section of the board ( http://www.fightersquadron.com/cgi/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=FS+Sites&number=5&DaysPrune=100&LastLogin= ) was theoretically a good place to link to on the main page, but perhaps a bit too daunting for new users. While the new page will gradually become out of date and need correcting, at least it can start out as a comprehensive list of everything OpenPlane. The links section can continue to be used for regular updates.
Here's what I'd like you to do if you would...
Please go to the links section of the board and make sure that your work is represented. If you've created anything that can be used with an OpenPlane sim, please make sure there's a post for it in links. If a previous post of yours in links is out of date, please reply to it and add any new information you can.
Also include any descriptive background information such as how long it took you to make your contribution and why you did it. This kind of information will make it all that much more interesting.
If after several days, someone else's OpenPlane contribution isn't present in the links section, please feel free to add info about their work. I want to make sure everyone possible gets some mention even if they aren't active anymore.
Later in the week, I'll start taking the information in the links section and putting together a comprehensive list of everything OpenPlane and put it on the main site.
Once that's done, I'll blast the news sites with that same information.
