Heya,Whould you rather fly this DVII........ This is the DVII in RED Baron 3d. I didnt do the skin btw. Or would you rather fly it in SDOE........ I knew you might say that Still need a little more convincing? Have a look at this................ Thanks to the efforts of SV, Raider, Nuum, Michael and myself this will soon be a reality. Boy I cant wait! If you are interested in further info on the DVII project have a look at this link: http://www.users.uswest.net/~twest3/projects.htm Here you can find a project history along with some great screenshots. ------------------ Zoycite {GS} GUNSLINGERS visit The War Paint Factory IP: Logged |

Great job.In many ways SDOE is very well suited to WWI. These pics absolutely blow away RB3D and Dawn of Aces. Before long we'll need to add a new room on the servers - WWI Aces. IP: Logged |

Gee, add a persistant arena and the French front, and you might sway the RBII arena.IP: Logged |

Yes a new terrain is badly needed. I 've toyed with it on many occasions with little success. Others have tried also with little success. I was thinking of making new objects, airfields and textures for the rhineland map. That might be a solution. But it sure would be nice if someone say at Inertia could whip up a "No Mans Land" OpenPlane Demo terrain ------------------ Zoycite {GS} GUNSLINGERS visit The War Paint Factory

Zoycite,As soon as I get my copy of Creator I want to use it to make WWI terrains. MH, can I do this with Creator? Is there a conversion process needed for Creator -> OpenPlane? -Sv IP: Logged |

I live in Rhinebeck, NY. Home of the Old Rhinebeck aerodrome. The Aerodrome has a bunch of FLYING WW1 aircraft. They fly them every weekend during the summer, and the sizeable museum is open year round. If you need anything, just ask and I can pretty much walk over... ------------------ BJN 1968-1996 R.I.P. SV afaik theres a file mg.exe on openplane.orgIt converts straight from creator to openplane. Ill be making a plane from scratch in creator after i finish my F4F. I think the process only goes from mg -> sm so modifying something without the source would be impossible. But when Janes F15 used multigen products to do its rather large (albeit bland) terrain it gives hope for a 250x250mile arena yet IP: Logged |

Sv, I was thinking the same thing Rattler, Are they moving to the Museum of Flight? If so thats great news. I live 20 minutes from there. They already have a very nice collection of aircraft. Any word on how near in the future that mught be? FireCat, We welcome all flyers to come and join the fun. Irg, Thats neat. You know their DVII still has its original motor and spark plugs. I'd love to see those birds fly. Falck, How about some pics of the F4F And thank you all for the nice comments, ------------------ Zoycite {GS} GUNSLINGERS visit The War Paint Factory [This message has been edited by Zoycite (edited 01-24-2000).] IP: Logged |
