They are made up. They were created from a lot of different elements by our artist, Chad.

I keep searching but to no avail for the 6th bomber group. Looking at pics of the SBD5's I have not seen any with squadron insignia.

Yeah- thanks Spin. I haven't had much luck either. I have a vacation coming up next month, so I will go visit every library in the area and look for something. Since MH pushed back the deadline for a contest a bit, I have a cushion to finish this stuff.
