Search of Yahoo results in very few links. And nothing to this site or squad pages. I submitted our squad page and it would be nice if others could submit their SDOE related pages as well.

Also, MH - could we get Activision to update their FS page:

http://www.activision.com/games/demons

to include links to the fightersquadron site? Just some ideas to continue to help people find us.

I found this while searching around altavista:

http://www.gamepower.com/games/html/8351review.html

Is this guy out to lunch or what?!......ya, I really hate Fighter Squadron's 2D cockpit's too!! feature less terrain?!....................uuhhh....no!

Crappy reviews is what kept people away from this game.

We really need to get people to take a 2nd look at FSSDOE. With all the planes and objects / terrains being done I think it'll really keep it going for years to come. I for one will always be building something for SDOE at any given time, probably for the next (or more!). I have so many different ones I want to build and each one is a real joy to do.

But Jag, it amazes me that jerks put out reviews like that when they have no sense of what they are really saying, and how it effects the sim community, in this case very negetively.

Oh well, lets turn SDOE into a great WWI game, the WWII game is only getting better, and even a post WWII game with uh, some modern jets

I hear ya, like I first said, without ppl like you guys the game would be dead, at first look it don't seem like you can do much with the game, but damn.. you can build ANYTHING!

and on that point... lol... can any larger maps be made than the piddly little things that we have already?

Oh-my-god that review was full of crap... 20 years of gaming under his belt - must've been his first sim... Seems like the guy read the combatsim forum, took a 5-min test and wrote his review...

I really hate how most of the gaming magazines have turned into piles of nonworthy hype pulp...

Mad Dog here.....

Making people want to take a second look at SDOE is my ultimate goal with my article on ign.com.

Being a game reviewer, I TOTALLY agree that some reviewers have thier heads up thier asses and flap thier gums about games that they have no idea about. I hate that!!

Anyways I'm still compiling info but I hope to have the article out soon. I'll let everyone know before it comes out.

Just tolet you know that MicroSim, a french magazine had made a positive review of SDOE.
I will try to encourage them to check progress of the sim.

To make matters worse, dogfights typically consist of only a handful of aircraft flying about, nothing like the massive aerial engagements depicted in MicroProse's European Air War.

Hahahah! I love the way EAW is treated as the "real" war. In the future poeple are gonna think all new WW2 flight sims are "EAW" or "Warbirds" simulators.

SDOE comes close to the way Wirbirds really.... or B17 II almost conveys the harsh reality of a EAW dogfight.

Ha!
