Author Topic:   Plane lengths JT Pilot posted 01-15- 10:02 AM                In general, when books give the length of a plane, do they mean starting from the prop spinner or starting from the fuselage? IP: Logged Pete Hawk Pilot posted 01-15- 10:28 PM                A side note, on the first flying C-5 it had a huge pitot tube probe sticking way out front. It was included in the overall length of the plane. Well now it's not part of the length, BUT in all the Tech Orders that probe was figured in calculating all the fuselage stations, so 0 is WAY out in front of the nose. IP: Logged
