List planes that aren't being worked on here. I'd like to see where everyone is at lately. Not too many are keen to hop into a modern jet I'm finding out. So I'd like to start getting things ready for my next creation. I have info and preliminary work done on a C-47 model. I may work on it but am not sure what else you all are wanting next. Don't hold me to it just yet. What planes (that aren't currently in work) are you really dying to have in this game? IP: Logged |

If you go to the contest section of this site you'll see many planes that are currently being built. The F4U Corsair is one of them. You might want to check the entries page before replying here. This game is about to explode with new planes! Thats way cool.Remember the movie "Those Magnificent Men and Their Flying Machines," there are some great airplanes I'd love to have in SDOE in this movie. Like the one that German General was flying. Maybe I should go rent that again [This message has been edited by Pete Hawk (edited 01-15-2000).] IP: Logged |

We definitely need more Japanese planes since we are about to explode with three new Pacific planes- the Wildcat, Corsair, and Dauntless.I would love to see a Kate torpedo bomber (if only we could model torpedoes)- but would be happy with a Val dive bomber or a big Betty bomber IP: Logged |

I have so many, where to begin. WWI-any. Post WWI-any. WW2-any (there's a pattern going on here). Post WW2-any. How's that. A few of my favorites would be :WWI Spad VII, XI, XIII B-24 ( this one's always forgotten) He-219 (love those nightfighters) My all-time favorite is the XB-19. Does anyone have a 6ft.x 6ft. scanner? I have blueprints from the Douglas Aircraft Co. for the 1/72 scale build-up model.heheheh Thanks to all of you out there who are working on aircraft for FS. You guys are really cranking them out fast. Would be nice to have a contest every month eh? Imagine all the planes.... Dauntless851 Keep 'em Flying

Yeah, some Italian planes!Mc200, Mc202/205, Sm79 The Fiat Cr32 would make a great advert for Laika's Rata in Spanish Civil War scenarios, and also in early North African missions. Other interesting aircraft for the African theater: Blenheim MkIV, Beaufighter, Gloster Gladiator, Fiat Cr42 (good match for the latter), Bf 110, Westland Lysander. Peter IP: Logged |

Thats it, the Meteor ! If you are into jets Pete that's one that actually flew during WW2. I just saw a documentary about the Comet. It was the first jetliner in service, but had safety problems allowing Boeing to get the jump on the british in the passenger jet business. I'm not really hyped about getting to fly a Comet = ) TS

I am anxious to... well I know it's not likely to happen but:I would like to see a group of aircraft representing what is a transitional period in aicraft design and technology. We have here some WWI era elements like two rifle calibre MGs armament on fighters, biplane, fabric covering, fixed undercarriage etc. mixed with the new era elements like stressed skin construction, low wing cantilever monoplane, retractable undercarriage, enclosed cockpit etc. All the planes despite representing different worlds in design and technology terms have one common feature: they were flown in combat in WWII so it wouldn't be unrealistic to pitch them against each other in FS. In SDOE the slower planes could ease "the small theatre inconvenience" , fewer guns = better aim required , some wood employed in the construction = nice yellow flames . Less guns on those bombers = more fun for the fighter boys, everybody knows bombers are not for flying in FS Last but not least, flying some of these aircraft and watching them fly in SDOE would be the only chance of ever seeing them at all And the selection of this group in random order is: 1) PZL P.7/11 - 1932/34, (../390km/h), all metal, stressed skin, 2 MGs, very manouverable 2) PZL P.37 Los (Elk), 1937, 440 km/h, 4213kg empty, 8880kg max overload! , 2600 km range 3) PZL P.23/43 Karas ('rather small kind of freshwater fish' , 1936, 320 km/h recco bomber 4) Bf 110 5) Ju 87 6) Junkers Ju 52 6) Polikarpov I-16 7) Gloster Gladiator 8) Fiat C32 9) TsKB 26/DB-3/Ilyushin Il-4, 1937, 410 km/h, two-eng, some wood used in constr. 10) Tupolev TB-3, 1932, 4-eng, 215-288 km/h, up to 5800 kg bombload 11) Tupolev SB-2, 1936, 410-450 km/h, some 600 kg bombload 12) Petlyakov Pe-8, 1939, 4-eng, 451 km/h, 5300kg max bombload, max range of the diesel ver. 4800 km 13) Vickers Wellesley 14) Vickers-Armstrongs Wellington 15) Fairey Battle 16) More Italian types (many of them, just take your pick Cheers ------------------

Yea, all those planes mentioned above are cool. As usual though, the best is saved for last.P-40B and P-40E. Both with AVG paint. These things are great BnZ fighters. Much maligned throughout history but really an effective craft. Nobody, but nobody comes close to that paint either. Cya up there, Apeboy IP: Logged |

Pete-One more thing. There seems to be a large number of 'exotic' aircraft either released or in production. That's not to say its a bad thing, just that that 'niche' seems to be well looked-after. So please, whatever you pick, let it be MAINSTREAM. Here are some more ideas: Halifax Wellington Liberator We could use a little variety in bombers...
